Himagiri tanaye hemalate lyrics in English with meaning: Himagiri tanaye hemalate is one of the works composed by Sri Harikeshanalluru Muttaiah Bhaagavataar.
He also created 20 ragas and composed ragas for over 400 kirtans. These include many “Varnas”, “Kritis”, and “Tillanas”. He composed music in Telugu, Tamil, Sanskrit, and Kannada languages.
In 1934, he directed the music for the movie “Lavakusa” produced by Tamil Nadu Talkies. He composed 63 songs in this film. With that, the name of this movie was changed to “Sangeetha Lavakusa”.
He has immense skills in instruments like “Gottuvadyam” and “Mridangam”. It is heard that he was the one who introduced the tradition of playing “Naadaswaram” during worship in Thiruvanantapuram temple.

CharaNam: O mother, you hold the rope that breaks the bonds, the goad (a weapon uses to calm elephants), the cane, and the staff. You are the best of the best and are always within reach of your eternal devotees.
O Parvati, you are the form of happiness and have vast radiance. You have happily taken me unto your refuge for which I have waited with sky-high hope.
