Analekara – Geetam
Analekara by Sri Purandara Dasa is a piece of Carnatic music from the early 16th century. It is one of the first pieces written by Purandara Dasa when he began composing music in the 1500s and is a warning to not waste one’s life without knowledge of the religious scriptures. It’s a simple song with limited ornamentation or repetition and is written in Kannada.
The geetham is in Tiputa TaLa Trisra Jathi. It is consists of 1 Laghu and 2 Dhrutas.
