Hecchu Sthayi Swaralu
Hecchu Sthayi Swaralu are higher octave sequences, which increase the students’ vocal or instrumental range. Again, the logic is easy to understand. The first is the simplest as every subsequent exercise adds a new phrase to the previous one.
The progressively cover notes up to “Ma (M)” in the higher octave. These are also called as “Tharasthayi Swaralu”.
Note: While singing third speed, if it is finishes before the completion of tala, that particular one has to be sing again until the tala completes.

Tip:
Do sing S P ṡ at the beginning and ending of the music session and use Tambura or Sruti Box (There are many apps which can be installed in your phone as well).
- A ‘shruthi box’ or ‘tambura’ will provide the basic notes ‘sa’ and its fifth ‘pa’.
- Listen to the notes carefully at least five minutes.
- Hold LONG notes and see that they match with the shruthi box.
- We need to always start by adjusting our tone with the ‘Shruti Box’.
Hope you enjoyed this session. See you in Geetas..
