Keraya neeranu – Geetam
Keraya neeranu geetam in English: “Keraya neeranu” by Shri Purandara Daasa is a piece of Carnatic music from the early 16th century. In this geetham, the poet describes the attributes of the devotees of Lord Hari. Keraya neeranu is a geetham (song) written in Kannada language.
The geetham is in Tiputa TaaLa Trisra Jaathi. It is consists of one Laghu and two Dhrutas.

Keraya neeranu – Lyrics – Meaning:
Look! In this God-given life, the followers of Lord Hari scoop water from the lake and again pour it back into the lake, while worshipping with the intention of obtaining the boons from the god,
In a similar manner the life given as a considerate bequest by Hari is surrendered back to him.
These holy men spend their lives by feasting their eyes on the lotus feet of the god who is the master of Purandara dasa.
