Maha gaNapatim – Lyrics meaning:

Pallavi: I pray wholeheartedly to the great GaNesha who is revered by the sages like VashishTa, Vaamadeva, and others.

CharaNam: The Lord GaNesha, who is the son of Lord Shiva and glorified by me (Muttuswamy Deekshitar) is shining serenely like million suns.

While sage Vyasa was recounting the details of the Mahabharata, Vighneswara, who had a rat as his vehicle and was fond of Modaks, wrote incessantly with great care.
