His mudra is “Guruguha”. His compositions are widely sung in concerts of Carnatic classical music.
He is one of the trinities of Carnatic music, the other two being Sri Thyagaraja Swamy and Sri Shyama Sastri.
Ragam: ShankarabharaNam (29th meLakarta “DheerashankaraabharaNam” ragam), it is a “Sampurna Raga” which means it has all seven swaras in its scale.

I always meditate Lord Vigneshwara, the protector of the devotees, the son of Lord Shiva, the bestower of joy and liberation, who has a well-decorated body, and the red lotus-like feet.
