Achyutam keshavam – Lyrics meaning:

I worship the infallible one, who controls everyone with his beautiful hair and who killed the demon Keshi, attracts others by his divine attributes and beauty, being tied by mother Yashoda around the waist, who is without any blemish the incarnation of NaraayaNa, the lord of Devi Janaki!

Who says the almighty doesn’t come to you? You are not calling him as Meerabai does.

(Meerabai was a 16th century Hindu mystic poet and loyal devotee of KrishNa).

Who says the almighty doesn’t eat? You are not offering jujube fruit the way Shabri did.

(Shabri was a devotee of Lord Rama who collects fruits in the forest to offer to her Lord).

Who says the almighty doesn’t dance? You are not making him dance as the Gopikas did!

(Gopikas play with KrishNa, dance with KrishNa, and romance with KrishNa. Mostly KrishNa surrounds by his 16000 Gopikas).

Who says the almighty doesn’t sleep? You are not making him fall asleep as Mother Yasoda did!

(Yashoda is the foster mother of KrishNa and the wife of Nanda, she is very protective of KrishNa who always wanders the entire gokulam).

Hail to the Govinda (one who pleases the cows, the land and the entire nature), Hari (one who removes all obstacles to spiritual progress), Gopal (the protector of the cows) and raadha ramaNa (the lover of raadha).

Tip:

Do not get distracted while practicing: There are many things that try to disturb us while doing some important work.

When you are practicing music turn off the television, put your mobile in silent mode, shut yourself in a peaceful room, and start practicing with a relaxed mind.

Don’t get scared of what you are going to learn thinking that there is much left to learn instead break it into pieces and start learning one by one.

After learning some bits you feel motivated to learn the remaining and finally within no time you will finish the entire portion and feel like you have got wings to fly.

When you really feel that way do not stop yourself instead let the wings fly high by learning more and more and more.
